Lenore

Hi all

once again I bring you a Hasslefree miniature, again I have only the vaguest notion as what to do with her, again I just think she is absolutely beautifully sculpted by that genius Kev White.  No excuses anymore its as simple as that.

Here is the blurb from Hasslefree's website.

Lenore, The Enchantress of Evermore, a mysterious sorceress from the fabled Nor'western city. Clad in a full length robe, full length dress and thigh high boots.

So no real help there, I've got a vague notion of Dungeon Crawling as a skirmish game rather than RPG but I'm not sure.  I might just knock some rules up myself, saying that I've got uni coming up again and I can't be distracted too much from what will be an exceptionally tough year for da Gobbo so maybe now they're painted they will sit on the shelf glaring at me for a year until i qualify and can relax a bit.....

Anyway, here is the by now usual WIP.

Hope you enjoy

  1. She looks great. I think a few of us are looking at our old RPGs and wondering if they can be skirmished. A dungeon craw Skirmish found just about right.

    1. Doesn't it? I've got a feeling Jez's "Way of the Crow" rules would work brilliantly for combat add in some monster generation and treasure....

    4. This will take me to Foundation degree which is enough to practice, there is always Bsc to upgrade and then Masters...... But not right now.

      They're lovely figs aren't they?

    5. As a man who runs University degrees and having seen the effort required from part time students I am always impressed at how good they are.
Phil, we have many mature students who come to study for a masters to enable them to advance their careers. Firstly it has changed a lot - everything is computer based and is actually much easier to find stuff out, the trick is working out what is good and what is bollocks. The second thing is that as a grown up you know how to go to work. A Masters is supposed to take 1800 hours or 40 hours per week for 45 weeks, about 1/2 to 2/3 of which is self study. It's a job and if you treat it as such then it is a doddle, especially if it's related to your current career.

  4. I do like the look of these sorceress's he has done. They come across as plain figures but they are still marvellous sculpts especially the stitching on the leather boots

    1. Exactly Simon, the subtlety of the sculpt is what makes them stand out imho

  5. What a lovely subtle paint-job you've done Andy. So understated. I absolutely love the green you've created. It somehow makes her look both vulnerable and deadly at the same time. If that makes sense!?!

    1. Isn't that most of womankind Simon? what may look vulnerable but harbours an inner core that would bend iron and crush unsuspecting men under their booted heel....
