More Talisman goodies

Hi all

This time it really will be a flying visit as I prepare to demonstrate "Blood, Sweat & Horses" at a local charity gaming event this weekend.  I'll prepare a post next week regarding how it goes down.

In the mean time, I have managed to paint a few Talisman minis, getting 7 done over the last week or so with 7 or 8 more to come.

First of all we have, from left to right - The Troll (r), The Dwarf (f), The Monk (r), The Ghoul (f) and The Druid (r).

Finally we have The Warrior and The Sorceress

my apologies for the brevity of the post and I hope to give you a little more next week

hope you enjoy

  3. Have fun with your demo game, (I'm pretty sure you will) and as for the short post, I'm sure we can all just be thankful you post at all given your job!
Talisman is a game my son never ogt into so I know little of it, but the figures look good!

  5. Nice work on the mini's these look different to the ones I remember, must ne a later addition to mine. I'd wish you luck with your game but having seen the pictures of it, you don't need it.

    Cheers Roger.

  8. Now, it might just be the angle of the photo or possibly my eyes, but that Dwarf looks quite big and not exactly dwarf-ish, especially compared to the other figures in that shot.

And as I own the second edition of Talisman, whilst I recognise the characters, they don't match up with the illustrations from my version. I think GW did avrange of lead miniatures that replicated the pose and look of these pictures, so whilst they ARE Talisman figures, they're not MY Talisman figures.

Still, a productive werk for you, Andy, and they can be used in a variety of other games, as well as the most recent iteration of the boardgame.

    1. You’re right Jez, he is way to big to be a proper dwarf! This is 3rd edition and they do match the illustrations there. I’m not sure about previous editions as my brain won’t work too far back (unless it’s 80’s rock lyrics...)

  10. They all look good (though "boo, hiss" to the monk! I've lost too many games of Talisman to him to count...). But the dwarf isn't really, well, small - is he?
