Zombtober 2017 - Part 2

Hi all

Still plugging away with my mega painting challenge.  This week I've managed to get another load painted! I'm actually quite shocked myself, although to be fair the painting is very basic indeed.  I tried to get a few of the very plain and boring "male zombies" from Wargames Factory completed but faded out after a while - the sculpts are just so soft.  Instead I turned back to the very characterful Mega Miniatures.

first are the six "First Responders. These unfortunates were dispatched to the initial outbreak and were caught in the first wave of violence.



next we have a couple of hippies,  two old duffers and a businessman



lastly we have an assortment of zeds including four kids in sports gear



so 18 of the Mega Miniatures completed, so I went back to the WGF and slogged through 12 of them...





so that's a total of 30 painted this week, added to the 16 from week 1 and I'm nearly halfway through my challenge!

    Good grief... Not only is your "Zomtober" output a great advertisement for "Mega Miniatures", Andy, but you're clearly establishing yourself as a mega-zed painter too!! Blimey, what a rate of knots you're going through them at currently!! They look terrifyingly gory too - which is always a bonus to zombies!!

    Awesome work, especially as you didn't enjoy some of them, which could have really set you back.
    The group shot looks great with them on mass

    They may be simple paint jobs but they do look effective. Your output is to be highly commended, Andy.

    Awesome Andy! You're doing a great job painting your 'Zomtober Horde' as well as having to spend the extra hours devoted to work - well done that man!
    Am I right in assuming the Wargames Factory male zeds are completely different sculpts to the Warlord Games ones?

      The WGF range was adopted by Warlord but I think they dropped the older range. The female zombie vixens were a brilliant boxset but these males are disappointing

    Bloody hell, instant horde! What a prolific week you've had - well done dGG.
    I used one of the kids with the Hockey mask and stick as a survivour as I don't really have enough civvy kids.
    Very impressed with this lot

    Awesome output Gobbo! Definitely interesting seeing all these various zombies (of which I do not own any of them). Most of mine are from the Zombicide games, which when getting involved definitely pointed towards being used in other games

    Blooming 'eck! How many have you painted in one week? And over two?!
    Even speed-painting zombies I'd not manage to get 46 done in a month, never mind that you're not even finished and have two more weeks to go. Stroll on. I'll be lucky to paint two more.
    Can you not go back to painting Bushido figures and give us 'slow 'uns' a chance to catch up...

      Lol - ive got some beautiful Bushido minis that need a slap of paint mate but I need to get this horde done so speed painting it is! 😉

    Like Roy and others, I am in awe of your speed da Gobbo Grotto. That is a great looking horde emerging from those 94 minis from week 1. :)
