Urban Project - Nash Road completed

hi all

firstly my apologies for the late post and the lack of comments on my fave blogs. I have been reading them, late of course, but I have been reading them. However the new job role requires some adjustment time.

So onto the post then.  The last post for Nash Road, so all that was left to do was the final upper floor of number 6.  Finished off in the same way as the other two buildings.  Some movie posters - check out Dawn (and Shaun) of the Dead as well as Guardians of the Galaxy.

So the upper floor is done, her is the wider picture

I decided a billboard was in order...

thats it for now
hope you enjoy

  1. Excellent job. The board is coming along nicely.

What are your plans for the rest of it, though - if I can ask? A nice big public park would fill a big space, offer lots of greenery to offset the the darker urban terrain pieces - at least its a cheat that I normally use. Please don't think I'm offering a suggestion, or trying to tell you how I'd do it or how you should do it. I hate it when people say the like to me. Just saying my thoughts out loud, if anything.

    1. Don’t worry Roy, all suggestions are gratefully received. The next piece is going to be a supermarket, I was planning on a park and even bought some playground equipment but I started making some shelving units and the idea has stuck. The park will be done as an alternative for my own games I think.

    2. Hmm, a supermarket. Any chance of a Dale Winton character and a television crew? Not that I used to watch Dale's 90's quiz show "Supermarket Sweep", especially when I should have been at school!

    3. You have got me thinking about a green space on the board now Roy, I’ll be looking at filling a slightly smaller gap on the board and that may fit the bill. As for Dale, I don’t think I have enough orange paint to truly capture the daytime TV legend’s permatan...

  3. Looking fantastic Andy, I think Roy's suggestion has real merit, and would add another element to the game with a large open space in comparison to the tight built up areas of the street and pub. The McDonalds bill board is an excellent touch and very apt

    1. Thanks Dave, Roy’s idea has loads of merit and has been considered. It will make a fine alternative to 5he supermarket that is being planned

    2. Supermarket is a great idea, but with your level of detail, will be a lot of work, shall eagerly watch to see which you do

  4. Fantastic! This is an absolute joy to behold and is a board I'd love to play on. I, too, am wondering what you have planned next? One thing is for sure, you won't be short of ideas.

  5. Looks good and only a short walk to the WInchester too!
The various posters and small details really 'make' these buildings

  6. Just getting better and better buddy, and considering the "time adjustment" you're having to go through, you're doing great hobby-wise - both the building and blogging! :-)
